React Server Components execute exclusively on the server. Only their rendered output or RSC payload is streamed to the client, reducing browser bundles and allowing database queries and private API access to stay server-side. Browser interactions such as useState and onClick belong in client components marked with use client. Poorly designed boundaries can inadvertently pull server-only dependencies into client bundles.
